I feel like my British brethren will understand this, have you ever been on Channel 5 on a random week day and there's some really crappy looking American movie about a killer or a missing person that clearly had no effort put into it from anyone involved? Yeah this is basically that but far worse because it's based on a real murderer and came out six months after everything that happened which is kinda disgusting. :(
